Garry Robilliard – Director
Garry is the owner, director and founder of Edge Insights. A man of integrity, Garry has a powerful and life-long belief in customer service. He strongly believes in Edge Insights having the key to unlock the potential in any business.
He has spent his career observing and working in the tourism and customer service industries having successfully operated caravan parks and motels in Western Australia and Victoria.
Through years of owning and operating caravan parks, Garry soon came to realise that there was an acute lack of customer service within the tourism and hospitality industry. His extensive tourism experience has been also been a result of sitting on caravan park committees, tourism boards and associations and being an ATAP verification officer for many years.
As Garry says “Why spend $3000 or $30,000 on advertising/promoting your product or event, until you have worked with Edge Insights to have a program designed and implemented that will show you the areas that require improvement. Ultimately, we all want our customers to have a happy experience, who then return, and who also tell their friends.”
Germaine Davey – Strategic Advisor
Germaine is a highly experienced tourism specialist with over 20 years leadership experience. Her formal qualifications in media and communications compliment her professional skills set which include international and domestic tourism marketing, destination development, business development, risk management analysis and the development of strategic partnerships through community engagement.
Germaine has a keen interest in the development of rural-based activity strategies, such a agritourism, equine tourism and nature-based tourism. Additionally, she has experience in education, youth and assessable travel. Germaine has been a guest lecturer at RMIT focusing on sustainability in business, sat on numerous committee’s and is a highly respected member of the tourism community.
Simone Cutajar – Public Relations Coordinator & Researcher Liaison
Simone brings a wide and varied skill-set to the team with over 15 years working in the media and communications field. With formal qualifications in Journalism and Public Relations, she has developed and implemented numerous internal and external communication strategies across a variety of sectors including tourism, not-for-profit, local government and health and fitness.
Simone is an energetic and enthusiastic team player who thrives on a good challenge, and believes her hardest and most challenging role to date is keeping up with her two active and cheeky toddlers.
Lyn Robilliard – Quality Manager
Lyn is the co-owner of Edge Insights and a highly respected woman with vast experience in customer service. She has owned and operated caravan parks and motels with husband Garry. Lyn has been the recipient of Victorian Government/Telstra small business awards as a finalist on two occasions. Her skills in office management/planning and implementing strategic policies, have assisted in her great business successes.
Lyn has also had a long career in nursing/midwifery, as a fitness coach at various gyms. She is very passionate about her ongoing charity work with an international volunteer organisation.
Don Drane – Queensland Manager
Don has spent over 10 years operating his own small business consultancy, delivering strategic and operational planning services. He also brings many years of experience to the Edge team, working in Economic Development in the State Government sector.
Don performed his first mystery visit for Edge Insights back in 2011 for the National Tourism Awards. He is passionate about growing Edge Insights in Queensland and Northern New South Wales as he believes that all businesses need help to improve their customer service delivery and consequently increase their business and profit.
